A new international information campaign on the detrimental impacts of nuclear energy

Dear Friends,
An acquaintance living in Germany has sent me an important message
I wish to share with you.
The IPPNW~Germany has launched a new campaign on the detrimental
impacts of nuclear energy in connection with the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
I am attaching its admirably well written statement, based
on purely humanitarian motivations.
It will have a far-reaching impact.
It convinces us of the necessity of taking up the safety problem
of theTokyo Olympic Games 2020.
With warmest regards,
Mitsuhei Murata
Former Ambassador to Switzerland

Dear all,
we, the German affiliate of the International Physicians for the
Prevention of Nuclear War, would like to invite you to participate in
a new international information campaign on the detrimental impacts of
nuclear energy.
For this campaign, we want to use the media attention around the Tokyo
Olympics 2020 in order to spread knowledge about the situation in
Fukushima, the inherent risks of the nuclear industry and the health
effects for the population due to the nuclear catastrophe. The goal is
to generate public interest in a global nuclear phaseout and energy
We want to start with this campaign as soon as possible in order to
have sufficient time for coordination with international partners and
We would be delighted if you could
a) support and sign on to the attached campaign statement as a person
or institution
b) get in touch with us if you are interested to become active and
join our informal campaign steering committee
c) distribute this mail in your networks
We look forward to hearing from back from you,
all the best,
Henrik Paulitz
