Momentum

Dear Rosan,

The Nuclear Security Summit is part good news, part bad news.

First, the good news. Global leaders are getting together to talk about a really important topic: how to prevent nuclear terrorism.

And the bad news: Nuclear weapons are not on the agenda. And you can’t definitively prevent nuclear terrorism as long as nuclear weapons still exist.

Thousands of Global Zero supporters like you have taken action to let world leaders know that “security” is not 15,000 nuclear weapons, and that we demand urgent action to eliminate them.

I’m emailing you today to let you know that we’re taking the momentum from this call to action and staging a protest at the 2016 NSS in Washington, DC. I hope you’ll stand with me in solidarity.

Stand with Global Zero protesters at the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, DC. Join and share our Facebook event far and wide — no matter where you live.
Demand Zero
We can’t let this protest happen in a vacuum — we need to remind world leaders that you can’t discuss nuclear “security” without discussing the existential threat posed by nuclear weapons.

By joining our Facebook event, you’ll be letting both protesters in DC as well as leaders from around the world know that there is a global movement behind the call to eliminate nuclear weapons.

We’re relying on you to make sure decision makers and international media hear us loud and clear. So join and share our event today.
