The Nuclear Security Summit is part good news, part bad news.
First, the good news. Global leaders are getting together to talk about a really important topic: how to prevent nuclear terrorism.
And the bad news: Nuclear weapons are not on the agenda. And you can’t definitively prevent nuclear terrorism as long as nuclear weapons still exist.
Thousands of Global Zero supporters like you have taken action to let world leaders know that “security” is not 15,000 nuclear weapons, and that we demand urgent action to eliminate them.
I’m emailing you today to let you know that we’re taking the momentum from this call to action and staging a protest at the 2016 NSS in Washington, DC. I hope you’ll stand with me in solidarity.
