Fukushima’s 5th Year of Full-Blown Crisis

Dear Friends,

I am sending you an article of Mr.Robert Hunziker on Fukushima,
published in Counter/Punch.He has passionately written 6 brilliant articles
since last autumn.
It will no doubt help to awaken the world to the dangers of the unstoppable
Fukushima nuclear disaster.

“Fukushima’s 5th Year of Full-Blown Crisis”
http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/02/26/fukushimas-5th-year-of-full-blown-crisis/

Mr.Hunziker is quite right to ask for a retreat from the Tokyo Olympic Games
in order for Japan
to consecrate maximum efforts to bring Fukushima under control.
He quotes Einstein stating: “The unleashed power of the atom has changed
everything
save our modes of thinking, and we thus drift toward unparalleled
catastrophes.”

The public is stunned by the successive serious troubles of theTakahama
nuclear reactor No.4. It proves once again that it is humanly impossible to
control the atom.
The Japanese could no longer allow the priority given to the management of
electric companies at the expense of the future of Japan as a nation.

I will continue to warn that the destiny of the world is in the hands of
electric companies,
if the lesson of Fukushima(the shift of priority from economy to life)is
forgotten.
I have sent my message to Prime Minister Abe to stop all the restarted
nuclear reactors as soon as possible.

I am convinced that this plea will be widely supported by the public.
Please allow me to count on your understanding and support.

With warmest regards,
Mitsuhei Murata

Ex-Japanese Ambassador to Switzerland, etc.
